animation research -
I am fascinated by animation and chose to explore it further. Therefore, I focused on its history and looked into the traditional way of creating animation. Simultaneously I started creating my first own short films. As I am very keen on paper and handicraft I tried to include it as much as possible.

Starting to create my first own animations was definetely my favourite part. I started with the paper cuts because paper is the medium I am the most dedicated to. During the progress I had to learn that each little unawareness will be punished in the end. For instance, that I didn't use professional lightning. The digital animations were a lot easier and quicker as they don't require that much preparation in advance and can be re-edited as much as one likes. Spurred by the interview with Christian Hopkins (Picturesmith) I was extremely eager to try some lip syncing for the fifth animation. That is the reason why I used clay. It turned out to be a lot more complicated than I thought.

Further, I digitalized my research and created an printed equivalent to it. In the interactive output one can access all the information.
